(Isaiah 1:18-20- Come, let’s talk this over, says the Lord; no matter how deep the stain of your sins, I can take it out and make you as clean as freshly fallen snow. Even if you are stained as red as crimson, I can make you white as wool! If you will only let me help you, if you will only obey, then I will make you rich! But if you keep on turning your backs and refusing to listen to me, you will be killed by your enemies; I, the Lord, have spoken.)
God is on the phone and He's been calling you for a while. He has a message for you and wants to know how you are doing. Most importantly He wants you to come back home to Him. This is His message "let's talk, I know you've been going through it, I know you've done some things that you're not proud of, but I don't care about all that, I just want you to come home to me. I can clean you right up and make you as white as snow." But you don't want to hear His message. You're tired of God calling you when all He wants to do is help you.
You treat Him as though He's someone calling you to sell you something, well it's something kind of like that, but instead it's free. God wants to give you freedom, He wants salvation for you. He no longer wants your sin to be counted against you. He doesn't want your burdens weighing you down, so why do you keep ignoring His calls? If someone called you and offered you $1 million wouldn't you pick up? Well God's phone call is better than $1 million so stop ignoring His call and answer. Stop turning your back on Him and listen to what He has to say. He knows the devil is after you and wants to save you before you ruin your life.
Don't be like me, God was calling me for a while, but I was running from Him because I didn't want to hear what He had to say. My running from God was only hurting me. I’d tell Him “I just wanna live my life” not realizing that I was ruining it. Bad thing after bad thing was happening to me and I was just tired of it. When I finally answered God's phone call I was relieved. He took away all the pain I was feeling and gave me a brand new life. It was the best phone call I’ve ever had. Pick up the phone! God is calling.
