1. Why did you give your life to Christ? If you haven’t yet what is it that makes you want to change?
Before anything else make sure you’re one of the few that will be chosen. Remember when we were kids and they’d give us toys inside our cereal. There was always that one person who buy a whole bunch of boxes just to get that special prize. That’s how we should treat our salvation. We should make sure that we do whatever it takes to be the few that make it into the Kingdom. We should treat it like a prized possession. Many guests were invited, but many refused to come and that’s exactly what’s happening now. Everyone gets a chance to know about the Good News, but not everyone will accept it. Everyone has a chance to go to heaven, but not everyone will make it in.
2. What do you think of the man that wasn’t wearing the wedding robe provided for him?
It’s crazy how we can have what we need to be successful and still not succeed. It’s just like how God gave us the Bible which stands for Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth, but many people won’t read it. (Joshua 1:8- This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.)
3. (Check out video below) What did you think about that?
(Matthew 7:13-14- “Heaven can be entered only through the narrow gate! The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide enough for all the multitudes who choose its easy way. But the Gateway to Life is small, and the road is narrow, and only a few ever find it.) (Proverbs 14:12- Before every man there lies a wide and pleasant road that seems right but ends in death.) (Isaiah 35:8- And a main road will go through that once-deserted land; it will be named “The Holy Highway.” No evil-hearted men may walk upon it. God will walk there with you; even the most stupid cannot miss the way.)
There were 10 girls, but only 5 of them made it in.
We have to remember that it’s not enough to say that we’re Christians, how we live our lives determines if we are or not. (Luke 6:46- “So why do you call me ‘Lord’ when you won’t obey me?) (Matthew 7:21-23- “Not all who sound religious are really godly people. They may refer to me as ‘Lord,’ but still won’t get to heaven. For the decisive question is whether they obey my Father in heaven. At the Judgment many will tell me, ‘Lord, Lord, we told others about you and used your name to cast out demons and to do many other great miracles.’ But I will reply, ‘You have never been mine. Go away, for your deeds are evil.’) (2 Corinthians 13: 5-6- Check up on yourselves. Are you really Christians? Do you pass the test? Do you feel Christ’s presence and power more and more within you? Or are you just pretending to be Christians when actually you aren’t at all?)
The Bible verse many are called, few are chosen is similar to people who try out for sports. Many are at tryouts, but not everyone is picked.
1 Corinthians 9:24-27
(2 Timothy 2:5- Follow the Lord’s rules for doing His work, just as an athlete either follows the rules or is disqualified and wins no prize.) (Philippians 3:14- I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God is calling us up to heaven because of what Christ Jesus did for us.)
4. What did you get out of today’s lesson?
This is just a reminder to get on the straight narrow road and stay there. Don’t let anything/anyone keep you from making it into the Kingdom. Do whatever it takes to be the few who are chosen.
