2 Corinthians 9:6-15
The good deeds we do show that we are like Christ. They express love and God is all about love. Everything we do is for God's glory. When people see you being loving and kind you just tell them that it's all God, it'll make them praise God too.
1 John 3:14-19
1 John 4:8-21
Have you ever met a Christian who is mean and nasty to people all the time. God is love, if their works aren't showing you love it tells you something about them. Faith without good deeds is dead faith. Now of course I'm not saying that good deeds makes you saved, I'm saying that good deeds is the result of your salvation.
Rahab put her life on the line to hide them and if they had found them she would've surely died, but she had faith in God and as a result hid them in her home. Her faith produced good deeds. Good deeds alone will not get you into heaven, you must still accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. Many people think that good works alone gets you into the Kingdom, but even Jesus said that wasn't enough.
(Titus 1:16- Such persons claim they know God, but from seeing the way they act, one knows they don’t. They are rotten and disobedient, worthless so far as doing anything good is concerned.)(Ephesians 2:9- Salvation is not a reward for the good we have done, so none of us can take any credit for it.) We are not saved by the good works we do, our good works are the result of our salvation. Do your fruits show? Can people tell that you're a Christian by the way you treat others?
