Faith Like Abraham

(Hebrews 11:6- You can never please God without faith, without depending on Him. Anyone who wants to come to God must believe that there is a God and that He rewards those who sincerely look for Him.)

Romans 4

Genesis 15

Genesis 18:1-14

Genesis 21:1-7

Genesis 22:1-18

Abraham is known as the father of faith. His faith in God was so big, he was going to sacrifice the very son he trusted in God to give him. Abraham is our spiritual father when it comes to faith. That's what God meant when He told him that He'd make him the father of many nations. When you're struggling with faith just think about Abraham.

Children are another great role model of faith.

Matthew 18:1-14

Young children are not prideful, they're very humble and teachable. The reason Jesus says have child-like faith is so that we can be willing to learn. How can we learn what God wants us to know if we're not humble? We can't be know-it-all Christians because we'll never want to listen to what God is trying to tell us.

Mark 10:13-16

Many Christians don't like to be corrected, but a lot of times we don't realize that it was God who sent us that person to correct us. That's why humility is important.

(Proverbs 23:12- Don’t refuse to accept criticism; get all the help you can.) (Proverbs 10:17- Anyone willing to be corrected is on the pathway to life. Anyone refusing has lost his chance.
