Don't Wait Until It's Too Late

I know it's seems like Christians are constantly talking about the same things: heaven, hell, the Rapture etc, but in a world where people aren't really discussing it what are we supposed to do just keep quiet? No. Most of the people my age talk about the next club move/party, smoking drinking etc. I'm not judging them because that used to be me sending out "what's the move" texts, but when you get saved there's a change, God changes you for the better. You're no longer doing the things that you used to and by that I mean sin(things that God hates). When you give your life to God and you now know that you're no longer condemned to hell it's a great feeling. Like we be thinking we're having all this fun in the world but if you know there's a possibility of you dying in your sin it's not really fun. I really was thinking I was having all this fun being drunk and high when really high-key hell was always in the back of my mind. So was I really even having fun?

The same God who wakes you up everyday is the same God who wants you to repent and turn from sin. The same God who blesses you is the same God who can take it all away if He wants. The same God who punished people for sin in the Bible is the same God who will punish people now. God doesn't change. I'm not sure why people think different rules apply to them when it comes to the Bible. "For I am the Lord—I do not change." (Malachi 3:6) People love God until a Christian mentions hell then it's "oh I don't believe a good, loving God will send people to hell" Yes, God is a good God but He is also just. (Jude 1:7- And don’t forget the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring towns, all full of lust of every kind, including lust of men for other men. Those cities were destroyed by fire and continue to be a warning to us that there is a hell in which sinners are punished. If God didn't spare the angels who sinned against Him why would He spare us? Why is someone going to hell for murder but a person lies, steals, fornicates etc and they won't?
Romans 2
Romans 3
If God overlooks sin then why would He tell us not to do it? Just for fun? No, it's because sin brings us farther from God, especially when we're okay with our sins. If we make excuses for our sins now, we'll be doing it forever. Many people when God is brought up bring up Romans 3:23 that all have sinned and fell short well yes that's true but Romans 24 says (Romans 3:24- yet now God declares us “not guilty” of offending Him if we trust in Jesus Christ, who in His kindness freely takes away our sins.) If God takes away our sins why keep falling short when you don't have to, why keep offending God?

So many people think they're gonna live to be old and don't even make it to 30. The amount of people my age dying is sickening, the devil doesn't want you to give your life to God, he loves when people stall. I used to tell myself that I would get saved around like 25 or maybe when I got married and had kids but God had a whole different plan for me. We think we have all this time ahead of us but we really don't. I remember seeing something one day that said people say they'll give their life to God before a certain time and don't even make it to the next hour. Don't be that person. Don't listen to the excuse that you're too young to give your life to God. (1 Timothy 4:12- Don’t let anyone think little of you because you are young. Be their ideal; let them follow the way you teach and live; be a pattern for them in your love, your faith, and your clean thoughts.)
Luke 2:41-52
If Jesus at 12 years old was in the Temple then what's our excuse?

(1 Peter 4:4-5- Of course, your former friends will be very surprised when you don’t eagerly join them anymore in the wicked things they do, and they will laugh at you in contempt and scorn. But just remember that they must face the Judge of all, living and dead; they will be punished for the way they have lived.) I see many times people talk about how they're nervous to give their life to God because of what people may think of them. I always tell them that you can't please God and men. (Galatians 1:10- You can see that I am not trying to please you by sweet talk and flattery; no, I am trying to please God. If I were still trying to please men I could not be Christ’s servant.)
1 Kings 22:1-38
What I liked about Micaiah is he said that he would only say what the Lord tells him to. When everyone else is against what you believe will you choose God or just side with everyone else because you don't want to face adversity? Your salvation is about you, not your mom, dad, best friend etc, it's a personal relationship between you and God. Are you really going to allow the opinions of others to keep you from seeking God? Many times people will have something to say but it's because deep down they know they need to be doing the same thing. People don't wanna see you give your life to God because you start speaking against the things you used to do that they're still doing.

When you get saved you're literally put on an assignment, whether you lead a whole church, or you're just assigned the people in your family there's something that we're all called to do. I'm not talking about where you work I'm talking about the assignment God called you to do which is saving souls. (2 Corinthians 5:20- We are Christ’s ambassadors. God is using us to speak to you: we beg you, as though Christ himself were here pleading with you, receive the love He offers you—be reconciled to God.) The future of church is all about going out making disciples. We are called to be fishers of men. Just think about it, if God is using me to bring people closer to Him, then why won't He use you to do the same. The question is are you in a position where God can use you?

Matthew 24
Nobody knows the day or hour which is why we should always be prepared, don't allow temporary pleasures to allow you to miss God. People have been saying Jesus is coming since I was born and they've been saying the same thing when my parents were kids which was about 40 years ago. In the Bible it's been saying the same exact thing which was thousands of years ago. God is giving us so much time to get right with Him, so for anyone to end up in hell or not go to heaven during the Rapture, it will be on them. God is a just God, so He will not allow anyone to die if they've never heard the Good News, that just wouldn't be fair. So because God is fair no one will be able to get before Him on Judgment Day and say that they've never heard of Him because they'll be lying.

2 Peter 1
Crazy how much you think you know about God until you start reading your Bible and really seek Him. Even growing up in a Christian home, getting talked to about God all the time, I didn't have as much knowledge as I thought I did. Think about it, how can you really know God if you don't want Him in your life? You know God but don't obey Him? It doesn't make sense. Many people know about God, know of God but they don't actually know Him. When you know God you know what He likes and what He hates. I like this chapter because it's saying that it's not just about faith, it's not just about us having faith that God will help us to be better Christians. It's about us working hard to be good, so that we could learn to know God better and know what He wants us to do. If being a Christian was easy, we wouldn't have to work hard at it. If being a Christian was easy the road to heaven wouldn't be narrow. When you want to please God you don't think of it as being hard you think of it as a child who wants to please their Father.

Something important that we have to remember is that the way we live should reflect Christ. God has pulled us out of sin and out of this world. Before salvation we didn't worry about the things we did, we didn't care who saw because we were only living for ourselves. Now we are living for God and we resemble Christ. Things we should ask ourselves are "is this Christlike" "what does God think about this" "how can I please God today" things like that. Our life is no longer our own and that's things that we have to remember.
1 Thessalonians 4

1 Thessalonians 5

2 Thessalonians 2
People love anything that allows them to do what they want. That's why people say they don't believe in God and don't believe in the Bible because they just want to do their own thing.

One question I like is "If you were on trial for being a Christian is there enough evidence to convict you?" Many people call themselves Christians but you can tell by the way a person acts and what they do if they follow Christ. (Titus 1:15-16- A person who is pure of heart sees goodness and purity in everything; but a person whose own heart is evil and untrusting finds evil in everything, for his dirty mind and rebellious heart color all he sees and hears. Such persons claim they know God, but from seeing the way they act, one knows they don’t. They are rotten and disobedient, worthless so far as doing anything good is concerned.) If we just had to claim that we were a Christian to inherit the Kingdom we'd all be happy. We'd just say we're Christians while still continuing to do what we please. That's exactly how I used to be though I thought I was a Christian but deep down I knew I wasn't going to heaven with the way I was living life. It's not just about saying that we're saved it's actually about living a saved life. (2 Timothy 2:19- But God’s truth stands firm like a great rock, and nothing can shake it. It is a foundation stone with these words written on it: “The Lord knows those who are really his,” and “A person who calls himself a Christian should not be doing things that are wrong.”)

Titus 2:11-15
