Be Bold For The Lord

Boldness is willingness to take risks, it’s being confident and having courage. Boldness is saying “Idc what people think about me, I’m gonna talk about Jesus and spread the Gospel anyway.” For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is God’s powerful method of bringing all who believe it to heaven. (Romans 1:16) When society is always saying the opposite of what the Bible says it takes boldness even being a Christian. People have lost friends, relationships etc all because they proclaim Christ.

    Jeremiah 1

I’ve realized that sometimes people that are young are afraid to talk about Jesus because they feel like no one will listen to them because of their age but let’s remember at age 12 Jesus was talking to people in the temple. Jeremiah told God that he was too young and only a youth but God told him not to be afraid because He was with him and He’d give him the words to say. (1 Timothy 4:12- Don’t let anyone think little of you because you are young. Be their ideal; let them follow the way you teach and live; be a pattern for them in your love, your faith, and your clean thoughts.)

(Hebrews 4:12- For whatever God says to us is full of living power: it is sharper than the sharpest dagger, cutting swift and deep into our innermost thoughts and desires with all their parts, exposing us for what we really are.) Jesus was very bold, no matter who He was talking to He let people know the truth.

    Matthew 15:1-14

    Luke 22:63-71

Jesus knew He was about to die and if He wanted to He could’ve chose not to die for our sins but it took boldness for Jesus to be humiliated and killed on the cross like that.

    2 Chronicles 18

Being a prophet back in those times was hard, they were always getting beaten, thrown in jail and even killed. It took boldness for Micaiah to say that he would say whatever God says. All the heathen prophets were all saying the same thing and they even told him what to say but he still said what the Lord told him to.

    Acts 4:1-20

(Acts 18:9-10- One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision and told him, “Don’t be afraid! Speak out! Don’t quit! For I am with you and no one can harm you. Many people here in this city belong to me.”)

    Acts 6:7-15

    Acts 7

The great thing about God is that He lets us know that He’s with us so we don’t have to be afraid. As Stephen was about to die He saw Jesus and God in Heaven.

    2 Corinthians 6:8-10

When nobody agrees with what you say will you still be be bold for the Lord? In the book of Job, Job had lost everything and at the beginning he continued to put his trust in the Lord. (Job 2:9-10- His wife said to him, “Are you still trying to be godly when God has done all this to you? Curse him and die.” But he replied, “You talk like some heathen woman. What? Shall we receive only pleasant things from the hand of God and never anything unpleasant?” So in all this Job said nothing wrong.) In one of the God’s Not Dead movies a Muslim girl got kicked out of her house because she got caught listening to Christian music . Also, a Chinese guy’s dad disowned him because he became a Christian. A lot of times we don’t realize that there are actually people being abandoned and persecuted for Christ. In the US we have a lot freedom but in other places people die if they’re even caught with a Bible.

    Matthew 10:34-42

    2 Chronicles 32:1-22

    2 Kings 6:14-23

It even took boldness for them to go to war with certain places. Sometimes the enemy’s army would outnumber them or like David and Goliath be way bigger than them, but when the Lord is on your side you’ll always be okay. All Hezekiah, Isaiah and Elisha did was pray and God took care of them. The Bible has example after example of people who chose to be bold for the Lord despite what everyone else was saying, thought about them, etc.
